Medical air systems are compressor-driven and supply various applications throughout the healthcare community. Unlike piped medical gases that are typically delivered to hospitals in cylinders, medical air is most often manufactured on-site. On-site production is the most practical and ideal method of supply because of the large volume of air that most hospitals consume. Medical air systems are more specialized to be used for a variety of patient applications. For example, patients sensitive to oxygen toxicity are delivered air to lower their exposure to oxygen. Medical air is also used during anesthesia as a substitute for nitrous oxide to reduce the high concentration of oxygen exposure.
In order to maintain your medical air systems, FS-Compression offers a Preventative Maintenance Program as a cost-effective way to make sure routine maintenance is performed on a timely basis. Routine maintenance is required to help reduce cost failures, leaks, and unnecessary downtime. To begin the routine maintenance package, we will first conduct a system assessment to determine the present condition of your equipment to establish a benchmark for future preventative maintenance.

- Inspection of all equipment including filters, belts, drive couples, mounting, etc.
- Performance testing & measuring amp draws.
- Testing alarms and alarm set points.
- Leak testing lines and connections.
- Recommending necessary repairs and upgrades.
- Recommending spare part inventory to support preventative maintenance activities.
